INTRODUCTION

Like all aspects of our business our brokerage is built upon a solid reputation, family values and years of experience on the canals of England.

As a small business we're able to offer a high quality of customer care for both purchaser and seller alike enabling people who buy from us to have the utmost confidence in the boats we offer.

Being a working marina we're able to talk in depth about each boat understanding how their systems work and ways in which boats can be developed and maintained.

Being a member of British Marine helps ensure that all of our contracts and paperwork are inline with industry standards

PRE SALE

Our sales process begins with a visit to your boat to discuss your requirements and expectations for the sale. We outline our process and method in person and answer any questions you may have.

We then take a detailed look at the boat and complete a specification sheet. We also take photographs to be used in advertising.

Back at our office we compile the information into a clear and concise specification sheet that we use on mailing lists and our website.

Each boat is marketed through our own website, Apollo Duck and using various social media channels.

At all stages we keep you informed and take on any feedback or changes as required

SALE PROCESS

When the adverts go live we answer questions and book viewings over the phone or email.

All of our viewings are booked in advance and are accompanied by either Andy, Nigel or Tim. All three of us have extensive experience living, using and working on boats so we're able to answer questions and guide potential purchasers with ease.

Assuming you're local to us we're able to conduct viewings from your home mooring, if we have spare capacity, we can accommodate the boat with us at our marina on the Ashby Canal (subject to terms and conditions).

We keep all of our purchasers updated with viewings as they occur providing clear feedback.

No sales are agreed without  your express permission and we're always on hand to help and negotiate the best price for your boat.

POST SALE

Once a purchase price is agreed we're able to arrange surveys or on water trials depending on the purchasers requirements.

We have our own slipway available on site and can recommend surveyors to any potential purchaser.

Once the final sale is agreed we provide all the relevant paperwork and help to make sure the purchaser is happy and ready to take the boat. This often includes further show rounds an introductory cruise and sometimes further maintenance where required.
